EU AI Act and GDPR: AI assistants that stay compliant.
Since 02.02.2025, Article 4 of the EU AI Act requires companies to ensure sufficient AI literacy among everyone who uses AI systems. This is not distant bureaucracy but a concrete duty that already applies today. We build AI assistants so they support this requirement instead of undermining it, with clear processes, traceable access and data that can stay in Germany. That way compliance is not a brake but a trust advantage.

What Art. 4 EU AI Act concretely means
Article 4 obliges providers and deployers of AI systems to ensure that their staff and the people using AI on their behalf have sufficient AI literacy. In practice that means: anyone who uses AI in the company must understand what the system does, where its limits are and how to judge results. For an AI assistant that means the use should be supported and trained, not just technically provided. That is exactly why guidance and onboarding are a fixed part of our offer. An assistant no one really understands is not only a compliance problem, it also goes unused.
GDPR and data in Germany
Beyond the AI Act, GDPR remains the yardstick for handling personal data.
An AI assistant that knows mail, calendar or internal documents often processes sensitive information.
So we build it so your data can stay in Germany or the EU, with clear data minimization and an access concept by team and role.
Sensitive documents get tighter limits, every access stays traceable.
That is the decisive difference from a generic chatbot that often stores in foreign clouds and where you know little about where your data ends up.
How we build compliance into the build
- Compliance is not an afterthought with us, it is part of the architecture.
- We clarify early which data the assistant needs and which it does not, and keep processing as lean as possible.
- We document what the assistant accesses and why.
- We set up rights so no one sees content they should not.
- And we onboard your team so the AI literacy under Art. 4 is not only on paper.
- That gives you an assistant that helps in daily work and stays verifiable when someone asks.
Compliance as a trust advantage
- Many see only effort in the AI Act.
- We see an opportunity.
- An assistant that works traceably, whose data can stay in Germany or the EU and whose use is trained, builds trust, internally and with customers.
- In consulting, finance and healthcare especially, that is often the precondition for using AI at all.
- Whoever thinks compliance from the start can use AI where others hesitate.
- That is not a contradiction to speed but the basis for handing sensitive tasks to an assistant in the first place.

Disclosure notice (Art. 50 EU AI Act)
Under Art. 50 of the EU AI Act, from 2 August 2026 people must be informed that they are interacting with an AI system, unless that is obvious. This has to be planned into the deployment from the start, for example as a notice at the beginning of the chat or call.
